Anyone know what happened to them. I drove by last week and it looks like its going to be a Nautique dealer. Victim of the economy I assume?

I don't know but I go to the NorCal in Pleasanton, does this mean they are changing too? That would mean no MC dealers in the San Francisco bay area.

It doesnt appear they changed to CC. Looks more like Nor Cal closed and a new business is opening there who will sell CC.

That has not been my experience with Nor Cal Mastercraft in Pleasanton.

The board shop helped me pick out a wakeboard appropriate for me and I very much have been please with it. Helpful, friendly, courteous and etc... P.S. they have relatively good prices even comparing against internet shops.

The boat sales and maintenance side has also been a good experience. I've purchased the boat from this shop. They have handled all my warranty work promptly and with good quality service. Any delays in getting the work done has been on part of getting replacement parts from MC and you cannot blame the dealership for that. Honestly, the delays for parts have been for seat replacements (small areas where the vinyl split along the bottom edge) that was not important. Anything relatively important or above got done quickly even in the middle of summer when the maintenance shops have long delays due to demand. They have always scheduled my appointments and work was completed on time. I had my 100 hrs maintenance done in August - one day turn around. Price was competitive with the other boat shops in the area. They know I don't like my boat outside so it was dropped off in the morning and picked up at the end of the day.

Example 1: Some things I like to do myself. I was changing the oil in my oil bath. I stripped the set screw use as a plug. Could not find that part to save my life in local hardware shops. Went to their store to get purchase replacement. They did not have the part so they went out back and took one out of a hub that was being tossed. I asked what I owed them and they looked at me funny...

Example 2: For the 100 hr maintenance, when I picked up the boat I mentioned that forgot to tell them that the plug needed a new o-ring. They matched the o-ring and handed it to me. I asked what I owed them and they looked at me funny...

The examples above are minor but are typical of my experience with this shop. Sure. They are not going to give you parts and service for free but I have found them helpful, courteous and friendly.

In summary, they certainly have treated me well.

I spoke with the folks in the Pleasanton shop. The Rancho Cordova shop moved just a little ways down the street back in August. A Nautique dealer moved into their old space.

Thank for the information I notice you don't have the Pleasanton location listed has that location closed?
Being in the SF bay area (Walnut Creek) it looks like my closest location for service is either in Holt or Sacramento is that correct?

Thank you for the info.

Hi JMann,

That's correct, the Pleasanton store is no longer there. It looks like you're pretty much in the middle. You're less than an hour (~50 mi) away from our location in Holt and 1 hour 10 minutes (~70 mi) away from our location in Sacramento. Hope this information is helpful to you!

Has anyone else experienced poor customer service from the service departments at both dealers? Any other options in California?

I can say that the Rancho Cordova/ Sacramento place is not very customer service friendly when your working on a project at home. I called them over the weekend while installing my new steering cable and the parts/service guy was clueless as to what I was talking about or even how to install it. I was told to "bring it by the shop and we can fit you in" as their help (at $120/HR rate). Additionally they wanted to charge me $350 for a steering cable w/o install, seemed high to me.

The one in Lake Elsinor, 951-674-7900, MC was awesome though. They knew what I was talking about and how it should all go together.
