Led rings around tower speakers, subs, and interiors.

While not an MC you get the idea. How about a custom X2 graphics package like this led one.

I'm thinking of adding a ladder to the platform for wife and small kids.
SS cup holders
Hard mounted tube pump
Skier down flag holder
mesh net on inside of glovebox door for keys and stuff
Sunglasses holder at helm
Anchor box in bow storage compartment
LEDs in cabin
Carpet swim platform with marine Berber
Etc.......

That's the epitome of show with no go in a boat. As tow boat isn't going to go any faster with it.

It'll never race Miss Budweiser, but I bet you could get 50mph or a little better if it would spin a 21pitch prop.
BTW, I never said it was practical, but the guy sounded like he needed ways to spend money on his boat. I was just trying to help him out!
(LED rings are show and no go too.)

That's awesome. My boat does 48mph, I may as well drop 5K into a blower so it will do 50. :uglyhamme

That's because you already have 450hp.
500hp in an X2 would be awesome!
IMO if you come on here asking for ways to spend your money, you must have a pile of it burning a hole somewhere. What better way to spend it than on mo' power?

Thrall do you have a wake plate/ attitude adjustment plate on your boat? I don't have one on mine and it starts porpoising badly around 28-30 mph and I'm forced to back off. We don't cruise much higher than 25 mph usually, but it would be nice to bump it up occasionally.

Scott, you're right. No point stopping at 700hp and a V-10 when you could opt for a 750hp V-12?

Maybe--but some people can, others just think they can. Not knowing where you are truly at is what got the economy where it's at.

yeah yeah - ya lucky #$%*#@. :D:D:D Nope I am not envious at all. ;)

To the OP - just swap in a LY6 for the most sensible and economical way to improve performance and sell your 350 MCX or RTP.

Neither on my boat. If the water's rough it will porpoise around 30mph sometimes. Just backing out of the throttle a little or making a slight S turn and disrupting the rythm straightens it back out. Filling the front tank helps considerably keeping the nose planted.
IMO it's a tradeoff. Wake plate or weight up front to keep the nose from porpoising yields a rougher ride. Weight in the stern keeps the nose up, smoother ride, more porpoising.
Spent some time on a 45 with both sets of plates and with all of them down there was NO porpoising, but it rode like my 190 did.

How do you have the boat loaded when you start to get porpoising?

How do you have the boat loaded when you start to get porpoising?

Normally no ballast with a driver and 2 to 5 other people in boat-usually nobody is in the bow. The only time I attempt to run above 25 mph is in the morning when the lake is as flat as it gets and will always start to porpoise. I chalked it up to 2006 being the first year of the X-2 hull and them not putting the wake plates on them yet. I have played around with filling the front ballast tank, but I still experienced the porpoising.
