After finding many neglected boats, I found a truly cared for boat. Thanks to everyone who assisted in answering my questions and adding their opinions to my threads. A special thanks to Jim at Bay area Watersports for taking the time give me his professional opinion on this boat an my deal. I had recently been looking out of state since I have exhausted the bait search in Fl and almost pulled the trigger on some TX, Ga and AL boats but didn't have to go far for this boat. Just an early Saturday morning drive to The greater Miami ski club (4hours away). This club is definetly a hidden jewel in Miami. All private/member lake access, jumps and courses. The owner of this boat is personal friends with Henrik Hartvig-Laursen (Owner of Miami Ski Nautiques) and I spoke to both the boat owner and Henrik (who was helping in the sale of the boat through is stores website).

1999 Mastercraft Sportstar with many upgrades. Indmar 350 TBI 310 HP Engine ACME CNC Propeller upgrade, with an extra standard prop as spare. The past owner gave me two 3 ring binders full of all records of maintenance (oil/oil filter changes, belt change, fuel filters, transmission fluid, impeller, etc.) Boat came with extra oil filters, extra fuel filters, and belt, along w/ other maintenance items that go with this boat. Brand new battery, oil filter and oil, impeller, trailer winch strap. Perfect Pass/Stargazer speed control with latest upgrade. Perfect times in slalom course!!! Sound system upgrade, Clarion Marine CD, FM, Aux, Sirius/XM ready, Sony amp, Sony Xplode 12 subwoofer, with Sony Xplode speakers(4). Very nice sounding system!!! Hummingbird Depth finder added. Came with bimini top. Came with a very nice Mastercraft fitted boat cover. Trailer has plastic wood bunks, with Bunkaps (will never rot or have to be replaced guaranteed). Comes with Boatbuddy quick connect, and brand new winch strap. Trailer has extra spare wheel/tire with Mastercraft cover. Trailer has brand new black MC trailer guides (not pictured, but are in storage area). Keel Guard keel protector installed. It came with Barefoot Boom and extra normal items (ropes, life jackets, oar, etc.) This boat has been well taken care of. It has never been exposed to salt water, fresh water only!
Vinyl has a few signs of wear and tear and I going to get those repaired through Jim soon.

Congrats on the nice looking rig. It's great when the wait is finally over, my problem up here in Canada is that there's an inch of snow on the ground so I'll have to wait until May to get the X2 in the water again. I don't know if it's tour first MC but they are GREAT boats. My 2005 197 had over 1500 Hrs on it and it still ran like a tank.

Great boat. And good news that it is a fresh water only boat. Coming from south Florida that may be a rare thing. I always liked those Sport Stars too. Basically an earlier prostar 190 hull. And a great hull design too. Best of luck with her.

Thanks, took her for her madiden voyage with 2 foot caps in a local large lake. Although it wasn't a great idea since unloading and loading was a CHORE, I was determined to enjoy a day on the lake. Finally got to the back of the lake and enjoyed some play time and them some lunch while we drifted.

Have you formed an opinion on trailer bunk sliders? Have heard good and bad about them.

Slippery when wet and sticks like glue when dry. A few scratches on the bottom of hull where it comes in contact but probably the same as sandy carpet. I think it looks cleaner since worn out carpet or ripped loose carpet it an eyesore

Thank you and yes it has. Just need to get some vinyl redone, removable teak brackets, new stereo and I'll be completely happy.

Nice find! Love it when previous owners actually take care of their boats like they should.

I'll trade pulls with you if you're ever up here in NJ.

Got any interior pics?

thanks everyone for thier positive comments. I absolutely love the boat. I will post up some interior pics soon.

I recently ran into some bad luck. Trailering the boat to a friends house to replace trailer bearings and bearing buddies, I had a 3 year old good year marathon (practically new with no mileage) throw the tread off and totally destroy one of my fiberglass fenders and later on after I put the spare on, I had my rear sundeck fly off the boat and get totally destroyed by a truck following behind. I have not touched the sundeck and it was secure enough to make the original 4 hour trip from Miami to my home going 75 mph. This time I was only traveling 50 mph so I have no idea *** happened to cause this.
My buddy has repaired the fender to almost new and repainted/gelcoated and I will soon have my other fender repainted/gelcoated to completely match the shine and shade. I currently have a local vinyl shop re-creating my rear sundeck but this process is going slower than I rally want and I am unsure at this point when or if it'll get done correctly.
I have since replaced all 3 tires and have gotten 3 new custom (much higher quality than the stockers) 15 inch wheels on the boat trailer (factory was 14 inch).

Wow, tough break on the marathon (I lost 3 of mine that way, but no fender damage thank goodness)
And sorry to hear about your sundeck.....but glad no one got hurt.
Is your sundeck the bottom of the back seat or something different?
I removed the bottom of my rear seat for my long 20 hour trip home with her. Didn't want to lose it....I've heard some people lose theirs on the highway.

Bummer to hear the bad news. That is a sweet boat though. I figured you might be on here too after seeing your truck and boat over at PSN.

no, the sundeck that I am speaking about is trunk lid (if there was a trunk) that covers the exahaust vents at the rear of the boat. The stepover part getting onto the teak. It was secure enough to make the miami trip but after dong a search on here, it seems to be somewhat of an isssue. if this piece ever gets made, I will have the builder find an additional way to secure it. This piece is removable so that the fuel sending unit and second fuel pump can be reachable without having to remove back panel and rear seat back.

The piece is still missing pieces and my vinyl guy is trying to locate the starboard material in the right size instead of having to purchase too big of a piece and I really am trying to find a local member with a 1995-1997 prostar or 1998, 1999 sportstar so i could have him make a perfect template for an exact match.

You can use your back seat as a template, it's the same radius as the pad.

Thanks. I haven't tried that yet but the sportstars back seat is a little different from the prostar. It's more of an easy removable block of vinyled foam and i think it is more comfortable also.
Never mind the vinyl cracks and the stains. Stains are tire lift off from when previous owner kept seat in garage and stains are almost now non existance with a little magic eraser action and I just had the sun deck/truck lid reupholstered before purchasing bringing the boat home from miami. Just my luck.

Ahh..yes it is, the PS back seat can be pulled up and placed next to the pad to create a sun deck.
