After a 6.5 year hiatus, we are once again MasterCraft owners. We purchased a 97 Sammy 205 with 344 hours in excellent condition. Our goal was a clean 205 with tandem.

We figure this boat was "fate". Years ago we used to take out a loaner 97 Sammy 205 from the dealership here in Orlando, we believe it is the same boat.

We picked the boat up Wednesday and took it out yesterday, it sure feels good to be back into a direct drive versus the Cobalt.

We also found a 2000 205v tandem trailer on Monday here in Orlando and purchased for $1,000.00. Cleaned it up, we sanded the fenders and it is ready to go.

In the end we got everything we wanted :)

If any one is interested in a single axle 205 trailer let me know.

I beleve I looked at that same boat (not sure if it is). The one I looked at had a 1:1 and a 275 HP engine and came with a green bimini. Boat was taken real good care oif but wasn't enough HP for me. Nice score on the tandem trailer. I must of missed that for sale item
Anyway, Congrats

Thanks..The pic with the trailbazer was a old picture we found from 97.

I'm sure it is the same boat, it was in Clermont. We are up in the Lake Brantley area.

Std horsepower is enough for us, our old 96 205 was enough to pull me barefooting. Don't plan on loading boat with ballast for boarding.

Yep, it was the same boat. I looked at last Sunday and Todd and his wife were awesome people and very friendly. Funny thing is that if I hadn't found another boat and probably purchasing it tmw in Miami, I was going to call Todd back. If you don't mind, PM me what you paid for it. Todd seemed not to want to come down much from his original price but I did educate him on the NADA value but I never even tried to negotiate a price after I saw it was 275hp and a 1:1. Probably enough boat for the norm but I am 240 pounds and 6.6 and I need some torque and power to get my *** up and out of the water.
Congrats again.

Yep ;) Seems odd huh? Really it went like this:

96 205
2000 205v
2003 209
2003 197 (35th)
2000 Cobalt Cuddy 227
and now 1997 205...........Everything comes full circle :)

I need a new screen name....

Installed interior Led (blue) underwater lights & switched the boat to the tandem trailer. Busy weekend.

Found some great deals on the lights.....total cost including wire and connections $290.00 (2) Bullet Lines bronze case lights & (10) Step lights with 5 leds each @ sovereign control. Used both on the Cobalt and they worked fine. UW lights are enough but not as bright as the Abyss.
