Exclamation Quick Winch Question

I am looking at new winches. Do all the hole patterns match up? I have a 1993 Prostar 190, I think the lbs. on the winch aren't huge or anything. Thanks, I want a unit that has the black plastic over it, mine is pretty ugly. So let me know what to do if you can.

I know that you can get a replacement winch from your MasterCraft dealer that will fit, however the newer style winches may have a different hold pattern for mounting. I will verify this tomorrow, and get back to you.

Give Chicago MasterCraft a call at 815-385-0880 and we can get you setup with a shiney new winch

Call Will at Chicago MasterCraft, he'll be able to tell you for sure. Otherwise, I'll check for you once I get to the shop in the afternoon.

Anybody else know if the hole pattern on this fulton winch will match up with my '93 mastercraft trailer? Thanks

If you like that winch buy it and drill new holes if needed. Won't take but a minute.

Sodarski just replaced his. Probably the same hole pattern as yours.

To me, this forum is about love of inboard boats. It is about the sharing of information and, on a good day, some humor. It is not about post count, brand of boat, or any other superfluous labels that lend themselves to a false sense of superiority. Please, respect one another, try to pass on accurate information, and keep your eye on the ball.

Hole pattern

When I replaced the winch on my '92, the holes were very close, but I still need to file them to elongate the hole slightly before it would fit. The washers used to bolt it on were plenty big enough to cover the larger hole though so it was not an issue for mounting. I think I chose to enlarge the holes on the winch rather then the post, but if I remember correctly you could do either side.
