Help with '00 prostar

I'm looking for a service manual and or owners manual for a '00 prostar 190 with powerslot. Engine type is LTR. Perhaps it can be emailed or downloaded from any site. Apparantly, per MC, they are currently out of this manual. Do any of you run synthetic oil in these engines or mostly 20/50sae?

Pennsoil 15W40 Marine oil is what they come with and what Indmar recommends. I'm not sure where you'll be able to get a service manual from, but it's not likely that it'll be e-mailed since it's at least an inch thick. MC said they were out of owner's manuals? Look on this site for a listing of manuals, since that's one of the things the site admin has been scanning and making available. Also, look for oil topics here- it's been discussed before. If you can, get the marine oil. Basically, if the oil meets the specs recommended (look at the bottle and make note of the two letter codes), it will work well for this application. I have seen that some people use oil for diesel engines and this is very similar. If you can't get either type, just make sure you do an oil/filter change every 50 hours or annually, your gas is fresh and you don't overheat it.

In addition to what JimN has suggested, you can also download the Indmar operators engine manual at http://www.indmar.com, for model years 1994-2002 and 2002 to present (its under the navigation tools with a wrench).
