It's a known sport in our group of friends. There is a story and maybe even a video, but I cannot confirm nor deny. There are a few things that can be learned from a similar incident to the cop video.

1) Tandem trailers track pretty well... even when not connected to a vehicle.
2) Water will stop the trailer very quickly. Usually with enough time for those quick enough to catch the tongue before Davey Jones gets it.
3) Empty launch ramps are the best to perform these dangerous acts. Luckily, lesson #1 avoided damage to limbs, lives and objects.
That ........

boat fell off the back of the trailer

Last Summer I watched a gentleman prepare to go in the water with the trailer. He removed the straps on the stern and then unlocked the winch on the bow. He pulled forward then stopped suddently, boat rocked and then fell right off the back of the trailer. Luckily it was an outboard and he didn't hit the engine. He winched it back on the trailer, put it in the water and went on with his day.

I think we can all learn from these bloopers. The lesson learned is that putting a boat in the water and taking it out isn't necessarily the simplest thing in the world. In fact it's quite complicated if you haven't done it a lot, and it seems every boat/trailer combo is a different process. Take your time and don't worry about the other people waiting/looking at you.
