A friend saw a guy last year pull up on his jet ski (sit down two seater model Polaris), then go get his van. After he had the doors swung all the way open held with bungy cords, he backs his van down the ramp sans trailer and gets the floor of the van at water level. He proceeds to drive the SIT DOWN jetski into the back of the van, then bungy the doors shut (because they won't close all the way) and drive off. I use to ride a stand up jet ski on occasion and I have loaded them in the beds of pickups but to drive a 600 lbs sit down jet ski into the back of a van is insane.

I didn't have my camera the other day when a lady got the boat on the trailer crooked and the boat (deep V hull) was sitting on its side when the trailer came out of the water. It took her and her husband 20 minutes to get it on the trailer right. We all stood and clapped when they finished.

I watched a couple of guy's up at the lake bring a really nice late 70's model Nautique up on to the trailer and power load it right over the trailer and right into the back of the truck! All I herd was a bang bang when I looked over I saw it about 3 feet over the trailer! (after a bit of drinking) All they said was OOP'S!

The other day out here at lake Billy Chinook two things happened while I was hangin' out around the ramp.

1.) Guy asks me if I know anything about boats. Why is my bilge pump running so much, and why is my bilge filling up with water. I ask; did you put the plug in? He replys that he never takes it out but that he just had it de-winterized. To that I say the guys at the shop did not put it back in. Sure enough the plug was sitting by the back seat.

2.) Guy has his wife power on a brand new I/O (Reinell?) onto the trailer. He hooks up the bow and drives up the ramp (very long) at mach speed draggin his outdrive the whole way. Needless to say I think he was mad at his poor wife who you could tell had clearly never done that before.

Man I am glad I have some aptitude for boating. Not knowing what I was doing would totally suck.
