What Did YOU Learn to Ski Behind?
Mastercrafting's topic (other boats) gave me an idea:

Can you remember/describe the first boat you [waterskied / wakeboarded / kneeboarded / whatevered] behind?

Bonus points if you can come up with a pic...

I learned behind my dad's 14' wooden 4-seater with a 22hp Scott-Atwater. I don't even know if cameras existed back then , but I'm going to look through old albums the next time I visit my folks...

Also successfully skied behind a small aluminum boat with a 12hp ELTO.

More bonus points if you can remember what ELTO stood for...

1959 Glasspar with a 75 HP Evinrude (Biggest OB you could get back then) Used a pair of "White Bear" combo skiis from Minnesota.

1986 CC Barefoot Nautique 2001 w/ 454. about yanked my shoulers out of the sockets. got up on the 2nd try though.

learned to slalom behind a 1991 Carevelle 1900 w 305carbed motor

I learned to ski behind my dad's 1959 14 ft. Aluminum Sea King with a 25 HP Sea King outboard.
Sea King was Montgomery Wards store brand back then.

1976 ABC American Boat Company Double Eagle 351 ford powered OMC stern drive. Loved that boat but one pull behind a MC and it was replaced with prostar within two weeks.

A cable! My little sister and I learned to ski and kneeboard at Ski Rixen in Florida. I still have my 'ID' card someplace. We moved away over 20 years ago so I am not sure exactly what year it was.
