The 80x80 is the avatar. Regular pics must be 650x___ to post. There is a tutorial on the home page for uploading pictures, which I believe includes instructions/software for shrinking the pic. If you have Windows XP, you can use microsoft photo editor. Just open it up, call up your photo, click image -> resize. Then change the box that says "inches" to "pixels" and reset the long side of your picture to 650. Save.

To me, this forum is about love of inboard boats. It is about the sharing of information and, on a good day, some humor. It is not about post count, brand of boat, or any other superfluous labels that lend themselves to a false sense of superiority. Please, respect one another, try to pass on accurate information, and keep your eye on the ball.

How come sometimes pictures upload and show up inline in the thread and other times they are just a link?

If you upload more than one to a post, they show up as links..

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pristine, well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "-- WOW--What a Ride!"
