New Acme prop is .... doing something bad...

Under heavy acceleration, after the boat gets to about ten mph, it sounds and feel like it comes out of gear. I am sure its cavitation, but its a giant pain in the butt.

My original prop is going to go back on, but anyone else have this issue?

Different boat, but I've been running an acme 13x12 for over two years without issue (even when the prop nut had come loose).

just put an Acme on my 93 S&S 190. I too have a cavitation issue when I accellerate heavily in a turn to the right. I havent noticed it to the left or going straight. I had just changed my trans fluid so I was concerned that I didnt put enough back in. So I am not sure if its fluid level too low or a prop issue. I had Acme props on a 205 and a 2001 209 with no issues and excellent performance.

Make sure the new prop is seated correctly, I swapped out a couple of props and had the same issues with a new Acme. Took it off adjusted the key and re installed and all was great.
Good Luck
