He actually did learn to wakeboard first. The water was BAD that day. Boats everywhere!
Thanks for replying,

I got up first try at wake surfing, didn't stay up too long, its hard to keep that tip above the surface when you get sliding down the wake.

Looks like he was just really having trouble keeping the board in place.

I kind of like the driver to start dragging me, then i hang w/ one hand and adjust with the board pinned to my feet before taking the pull up.

Thanks!

Hey, I remember you from myspace. As you can see, I took your advice.
We are about to get some new speakers for our X-10. What kind did you get? Do they kick butt?

You have the same birthday as my husband. He was born in '74.

Later,
Pam

here are a coulple tips for surfing It did not look like you had the rope hooked up to the tower? If so that makes it also harder to get up and stand tall. THat would be the reason for eating it that first time. Also start outside the wake not right in the middle makes it a little easier to get the hang of it. Third the rider could have layed in the water on his back instead of crunched up in a ball. And just rested the heels on the board. Fourth the hesitation while getting up to speed hurts the rider a lot harder to get up. If its quik and smooth you can have it be all one motion dig heels into board let boat pull you up thenbend your knees and start surfing.

A little other tidbit maybe a bigger surfer would work better for beginers?

I think the biggest thing was not be hooked up to a high tow point.
