Replace observer seat w/ Bench

I have a '91 Tristar 190 that has the solo observers seat. I was wondering if it is possible to get the bench style observer seat for a '91 Tristar 190??? I have heard of boat salvage yards that may offer older parts... I'm located in Reno, NV. Anybody know if there are any of these salvage yards on the west coast??? Thanks in advance.

I have not ever seen the observer seat frame for sale used for an early 90s 190 or other model. On the newer boats, they appear to be part of a larger support system. But on the older boats, they were plastic (or glass?) pieces screwed into the floor. If you want one, more than likely, building one custom is going to be your best option.

To me, this forum is about love of inboard boats. It is about the sharing of information and, on a good day, some humor. It is not about post count, brand of boat, or any other superfluous labels that lend themselves to a false sense of superiority. this one is in the Sacramento area

but it would not be to hard to build a custom base for the seat & cover in matching carpet

Talk to the guy that just, sadly, had his 205 mangled by a tree. As sad as it is, if the ins. co. totals it out, you might be able to buy his o-seat.
