3200 pounds subfloor tanks, 450# bag in each locker. There is a panel on top of the bags which leaves 18" of storage on top. Fills in less than 4 minutes.
Supposed to shift some of the weight from when you change from surf left to surf right. Dealer said it's a new type ballast system, think he called it yoke or something like that.

+1 to this I would like to see "under the skirt" as it were, engine compartment, seat storage, pump locations, the details. I also heard it has a good wake at speeds lower than 18 (for beginners and kiddo's). if you can run it at 16-18 mph.

why would you run full ballast for beginners? if youre running under 21mph you shouldnt have ballast at all unless youre learning inverts or something lol

I wouldn't, just a figure of speech I guess. updated the comment for you Aric.

my 7-year-old runs 16mph (ish) and the 11-year-old was between 18.5 and 19 I think (moose will know his speed, although fairly sure at 18.5).

Questions to consider...

-Can the wakeboard (not surf) wake be adjusted using the tabs to make it steeper?
-2/1 transmission would indicate a sharp reduction in fuel efficiency, maybe offset by direct injection on the 6.2. How does it perform at the pump?
-If you drive the 5.3 can that thing really do ok with all the ballast full and people on board (skeptical)
-Related, with all the ballast in at say 23mph what RPM is it at? Same question for surfing.
-Is that whole 4100 lbs of ballast all subfloor or bags with tanks?
-Can the cargo hold now fit surfboards and wakeboards easily (like a g23) or no?
-If you or others get the chance to ride the wake what are the impressions? Good pop?
-How is the people room, it's a foot shorter now... so did that come out of the engine/cargo area or the passenger area or some mix of the two you think?
-Is it badass?
-How much are they charging for it?

Appreciate any feedback you can provide

It prob has theits probably a foot shorter from removing those giant pickle forks. Guessing interior space was not affected much.

-2/1 transmission would indicate a sharp reduction in fuel efficiency, maybe offset by direct injection on the 6.2. How does it perform at the pump? based on what is known so far with having a 2:1 in other brands and models, the fuel economy is better with a 2:1, as long as it is propped correctly
-If you drive the 5.3 can that thing really do ok with all the ballast full and people on board (skeptical) also a big advantage for the 2:1. It might make for a boat that only does 32mph, but should have enough power for most users..... just maybe not for pro level ballast amounts.
-Related, with all the ballast in at say 23mph what RPM is it at? Same question for surfing. id be interested to know this for sure. I definitely changed my prop on my G to reduce RPMs at surf and wake speed.
-Is that whole 4100 lbs of ballast all subfloor or bags with tanks? sort of both.... it has tanks and bags, but the bags are in a compartment below the floor panel. You still have huge rear compartments
-Can the cargo hold now fit surfboards and wakeboards easily (like a g23) or no? im guessing not really...... but the G isn't very great for it either. Small boards fit ok, normal length, not so much..... I was storing some back there regularly, but they get banged up too easy.
-If you or others get the chance to ride the wake what are the impressions? Good pop?
-How is the people room, it's a foot shorter now... so did that come out of the engine/cargo area or the passenger area or some mix of the two you think? it came out of the ridiculously overstated giant pickle tines on the last gen. This gen has a slightly smaller bow, and a considerably larger lounge area.
-Is it badass?
-How much are they charging for it? pricing is right on par with a G23, when comparing the builds on my two possible boat choices for 2018...

Appreciate any feedback you can provide
My speculations on some of these....... will be interesting to see the real life outcomes....

I am hoping I am correct about most of it...... still just more speculation until a demo though!
