With the single-pole swing-away tongue, it's not quite the easiest thing to get a WD hitch connected.
Keep in mind I think you are reading this off the physical hitch itself. Just because the hitch is rated for these weights, it doesn't necessarily mean the entire setup is. Your frame/chassis also has a limit, your hitch receiver also has a limit, the hitch pin, etc. You need to take the one with the lowest limit as your max.

I’ve towed my x14 with just the standard hitch, no issues at all! I wouldn’t think twice about the hitch setup pulling 1000 miles. Tires, brakes, hubs... I’d be more worried about those items

Anyone know when the new Expedition will show up at dealers? Google doesn't tell me anything.

from what i have heard sometime this fall. Nov/Dec some dealers should be getting them. There are orders going in from consumers already since end of Sept.

The price really jumped on these trucks. They are now more costly than the competition. MSRP on the platinum is over 80k.
