Sounds sweet, I have a Byerly 142, one of my friends has the 05 parks and I like it slightly better, the Byerly will slide out when you cut to hard. But that might be because I am still getting used to the board? Sounds like good deals. I bought the tower speakers and light bar from DNA wake on Ebay and am very happy with those purchases.

needless to say i can't wait till it gets warm enough to get in the water....i started a thread about towers on S&S's...boy did i catch some crap for wanting to put one on there....but it is my boat and i like the way they look on them. I have a buddy with an 85 that found the guy that used to frabricate all the towers for Mastercraft and it looks similar to the big air tower and it looks sweet....I am still learning the basics to wakeboarding but found that byerly and figured might as well buy it then as i get better i won't have to keep buying boards

Everyone that dislikes the tower is probably a skier, its kinda like snowboarding vs. skiing. I have always been into board sports so it clicked for me. It works great on the S&S about the only option mine lacks now is ballast, and that is a little tricky since it wasn't designed for that purpose, but it can handle a slight amount if you do not have alot of riders, which means more riding time!

bigairpylons.com is the manufacturer of that tower....i tried posting the mastercraft tower picture but it wouldn't let me....they emailed me back saying it would be custom built and custom bends for my boat. there is one company that makes a ballast bag in the shape of the rear seat....think it is fat sac or something like that so you actually have ballast that doubles as the rear seat

I have seen those, but I might make a small tank and rebuild the seat so that it is hidden under the seat. I'm not sure which route I will take on that. There is a DIY website for towers/speakers/ballast at http://www.diytower.com/ that has a cool ballast system that fills while moving, we'll see?

Yes, it collapses, amd I did it myself with the help of one other friend. One thing you have to be careful with is the thickness of the hull where you mount the tower. On the front supports it is 3/8 thick but on the rear supports it was much less and I had to reinforce the underside of the tower to prevent cracking. I had it the whole last season and no signs of wear on the hull, and one of my friends is like 260, we call him ballast boy! Since the SS's do not have a very deep hull the 2 front supports do not completely fold flat on my boat, and then once I installed the speakers they really were sticking up in the air, so I remove the front 2 supports which takes about 5 minutes.

I live about four minutes from peninsula.Right off 252.
My uncle has an 80 S&S with a typhoon tower. It really looks cool. I think they look great on them, I just never wanted to spend the money.

What are you going to school for? My wife just graduated from Western Last year.

I think i have decided on the Big Air Tower one because it is cheaper and it looks more like a factory style tower. I am getting a degree in horticulture and landscape design
