What would the difference be. My dad has tinted windows for years, there is no harm in using regular tint. I learned to tint windows by tinting the front plexiglass screen of a microwave (the outside).

From what I was told it will bubble eventually, then if you have to replace the tint you will NEVER get the old glue off the plexiglass?

nope, and nope. like I said, I used to practice on plexi, and my I tinted my boat, hated it, and removed it. it's just fine. plus, replacing the plexi side panels with new plexi would be cheap and easy. You can also buy smoked plexi.

Wired how long has your boat been tinted? Any issues with the side windows bubbling?

H20 thanks for the information.

Great Boat, same color scheme as mine. Where did you get the front grill, looks great. Do you have a close up photo you could post. Also, what is the solar panel used for?

Looks great, but if you operate at dusk very often, you'll hate it darker. B/C the cockpit area is open, there is the same amount of light on both sides of the tint. The way window tint works, you can't see through in the direction with the least light, when it's the same, you can't see through either way.

It has been tinted since the 90's. No bubbling at all. It is 3M tint but you can tell it is aged and has faded over the years. I'm going to strip it off in the next few months and redo it darker.

The grill is a piece of 1/8 aluminum with drilled 1 1/4 holes. It needs to be polished again. The factory grill disintegrated in the sun over the years. I have been thinking of making one for my engine cover and blower grill.
The solar panel is used just to keep the battery charged up. It puts out 5 amps/19 volts. So it gives it a nice trickel charge when your just sitting in the lake or listening to the stereo. It switches on when the engine is off.
