I need a little help. Im going to look at a 1980 ss that has recenlty had an engine and trans rebuild. The stringers have been reenforced and a new floor installed. Is there anything major that I should look for and is there anyway I can make sure that this recent work has in fact been performed.

I have a question.... On my '82, I have a wooden cover on my glove box with a metal MasterCraft emblem on the top. When the glove box door is lifted..... the mirror comes up. Is this an '82 only item? I haven't seen another set up like mine and it's obvious that this is how it came when it was new because, there is not any evidence of any screw holes for another mirror or any type of a fix to repair any screw holes. It can be seen in the pictures.

To my knowledge this was only an option in 1982. I have seen other 82's with that exact option. The 1983 does not have that set up however. I think in 1982, it was a year of transition with Master Craft, and they were experimenting with some different innovations.

Here's a shot I just took of my '71 S&S (Crackerjack) on Jenness Pond, NH... Just sweet!

Unfortunately the photo's pretty dark, but you get the idea.
I'll try to get some better pictures to share...

Ps - Anyone got anything older in the water????
