If it isn't readily apparent, work is very slow and I'm really bored...

Hey Guys,
My first post. Just picked up my first MC - a 79 S&S - baby blue with the textured deck. I will post some pics shortly. The hull is sound, engine and trans seem good but I will be doing the dreaded stringer surgery. How common a boat is this? Thanks, Mike

Welcome! Looking forward to seeing some pics.
I don't know how common your boat is. I've seen some, but not too many in really good condition... Jeremy's boat is a '79. There are some other '70's boats here as well...most in pretty good shape.

I think I got one of the luck ones! My 78' was very well maintained and always stored inside when not in use. It's amazing how many looks I get when I'm out on the lake. I have had so many complements and people stopping me to look at the boat.
With the exception of a few minor things,she is in perfect condition. It's funny, my Dad is a Corvette guy. He has had his 1964 Vette since new and it's still his baby. When he is out cruzing the car shows and stuff he gets complements and looks. I feel the same way when I'm out on the lake with my boat. Sure,the new ones are amazing but if you are into the classics and boats that started it all this is the boat to have in my opinion!
