We may be able to help a little more if we know what budget you are working with.

I just wish a Wrangler could pull a boat safely. I wouldn't have my truck if it would.
You would regret that daily. Wranglers are pure misery to DD

Ideally somewhere in the 10-15k range. Preferably on the lower end of that spectrum.

Nah, just gotta know what you're getting into with one. What I'd really like is an old CJ7 to play around with. Not as a daily, just a little weekend/nice weather toy.

My other half drove a 2014 2dr wrangler daily. No suspension mods, she loved driving it.

I actually do agree with you. My 2 door was MUCH more pleasant to drive than the 4 door.

In that price range I'd suggest an MDX.

We had a 2008 x3 bought it with right around 90k miles. I would bet in the 1.5 years we owned it we put $4-5k into it. I would never do that again.

as I type this I'm buying a used Honda Accord as a daily driver. I know all cars can have problems but I don't know anyone that's had a problem with Honda/accura.

This vehicle doesn't need to pull a boat. I have my truck for that. This is just her cruise around, daily driver. No towing duties required.
Well you should be able to find a nice 2011-2012 overland V6 2wd for a good price. I think they are just as nice as the BMX X% which hasn't changed much over the years. I find the jeeps to be more comfortable than the BMW since they have very hard seating.
