The hummer ( military) sucked to drive long distances, any time the clutch fan kicked on it would slow waaaaaay down. I'd rather drive our units fire truck, 916/920 and then the deuce and a half. When we still had the cucv ( military blazer ) they weren't as bad has the hummer either.

Although my unit bought a civilian hummer while we were at Ft Campbell to support flight operations. It had the dmax w a/c CTIS and a twin agent pump w turret on the front controlled by the driver. It only had the front seats available as the rest were taken up by water 350 gallons AFFF and a nitrogen bottle. Even had a fm radio.

A hummer is something you get from your wife/girlfriend. A HMMWV is a military vehicle.
