The teak deck from hell!!!!

Well i started on the deck tonight! There was no way i could start with 400, it was in too bad of shape, spent 5 hrs sanding with 100 grit and got it all knocked down and smooth, just 7 more times and i will be done (100 through 1500)! Just wondering what you guys do for the bottom, no way i am doing the bottom same as top, but just curious! Pictures soon to come! I think it was neglected because it does not remove easy like most, 8 screws and 4 bolts later and it was free! Wont be a piece of furniture but should be good for me and many years of fun!!!!!

Sorry to hear that, my bottom never looks bad and I'm not sure why, even though the top looks like a fish cleaning board often.

Once you get it all pretty again, steel wool and teak periodically through the summer. Much less work to maintain then wait until its a mess and redo.

My lesson learned...
