1500 or 2500? My '15 Silverado 1500 LT rode fantastic and my '16 Sierra SLT (All Terrain) rides even better. Both with the crew cab short box.

The thing I noticed right away was on washboard gravel and these two sets of railroad tracks I drive over just about every day. My 2014 would try and go sideways when I hit these. To this one, it's just a bump on the road. Highway to highway, I haven't noticed a significant difference.

You know I wasn't sure if I would like it or hate it when I ordered, but it's only a foot. They hide it fairly well I think.

I would probably be looking at a sierra Denali 6.2 vs lariat f150 with the ecoboost.

With it being the first year of the 10 speed transmission and new ecoboost engine... definitely gives me pause on the 150, but so do the baffling issues with the GMC (sierras are affected as well, right?)

Anyone driven both?

What issues are you talking about on the new GMC?

My father has a 16 Silverado 6.2L 8speed with zero issues. I have a 2014 6.2L with zero issues.

The 6.2L is hands down the best engine in a 1500 on the market. You will never convince me a v6 with a turbo is the way to go.

They just look funny. I agree with Aric, I don't think they make that big of a difference in the ride.

Like I said before, on rough roads, the ride is way better. On a smooth highway I don't know if I can actually tell anything at all.
I'm sure I'll like it better for towing as well.

Look wise, I'm just happy the company orders Chevrolet or GMC. I don't know what I'd do if I had to drive a Ford. I suppose jack it up and put big tires on it like everyone else does.

I had a 2014 GMC Sierra 1500 with the mystery vibration and other issues that GMC couldn't fix (google chevy shake). It was the biggest POS I've ever owned. Driver seat not connected well, radio reception issues (GM has since put new radios in, but wouldn't change out the crappy ones), headlight issues, list goes on.

See this site will give you an idea of all the mess I had wrong with that truck (and so have many other folks). GM has quietly been doing a ton of buy backs to keep all the problems hush hush.

http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/foru...ice-bulletins/

I traded it off (took a loss) and got rid of it. According to some folks on that site, other dealers know about these issues and are appraising the GM trucks accordingly.

I really apologize if this upsets anyone. I'm not trying to bash, just sharing mine and many other's experiences with the GM trucks.

How is towing with these two trucks? I have an 04 Silverado and my Maristar 230 pushes it around a bit. It handles braking fine, it's more that when the trailer bounces, it makes the rear of the truck bounce around. Has anyone towed a big boat with one of these trucks? Do they do a good job of controlling a large MC?

Lot of anti-sway technology that helps these new half tons tremendously. Towing with my old 07 silverado vs my old 2015 silverado were night and day. Our x30 weighs a bit more than your maristar, and my dads f150 handles it extremely well.
