Upgrade Windshield

Does anyone know if it is possible to convert a 190 windshield ("w/s") to a 205 style to a pass through style. I would like to be able to walk through the w/s instead of walking over the top of the w/s to be able to moor and anchor my boat. I have a 92 ProStar 190 with a 3 piece w/s.

Taylormade made the windshield. From all I know, getting the glass requires a call to the dealer. Give Jim@baws a ring. The beam on the 205s and the 190s was the same back then, so maybe the windshield dimensions were roughly the same. Who knows?

To me, this forum is about love of inboard boats. It is about the sharing of information and, on a good day, some humor. It is not about post count, brand of boat, or any other superfluous labels that lend themselves to a false sense of superiority. Please, respect one another, try to pass on accurate information, and keep your eye on the ball.

I'll bet that it would work fine. Even if the widths weren't exactly the same, it seems pretty easy to have the center section cut down to fit (can't imagine the 190 being wider). I have a '94 205, so if you want me to send you some measurements, just let me know.

If you call for a price on the frame, sit down before they give you the price.

Yep, this small side window alone is over 200.00 and one front window is about 500.00.

My opinion is: for all you will spend on this project...sell the boat and buy an open bow.
