Do you think you lost any hull rigidity? Is there any reason not to do this? I have thought about doing the same thing, but hate to cut big holes in things that are hard to put back.

I still hit double up's and big surf wakes, no issue's here.
My friends nautique had an access door to get to a cooler years ago and I got the idea from that. I don't think I have lost any integrity in the hull or dash for that matter. Give them a few years and it will be an expansive option.... It sounds great.... |

Oh,
Be sure to use lock tight on everything. I over Kill it, stainless steel everything, lock wax nuts with lock tight. This will help prevent those loose screws from the vibration. |

This is our setup: A JL 12w6v2 in a sealed box with the old free air sub as a vent. I'm using a JL 750/1 amp this year. I'm searching for a bass reflex or ported box that would fit in this area but it just to small. I could put a second sub in the passenger compartment like the Xstar did a few posts back. The sub hammers but I'm waiting for the Wetsound XXX v2 to get a little time out in the world before I make anymore changes.

Just stumbled upon this, I know its old. I wanted to find out what type of distribution blocks you used for this setup. And where did you find them. Thanks.

12" Polk audio sub in a ported box that my brother had lying around, not in use, so he donated it to a good cause. Carpet doesn't match and it takes up a lot of space, but it makes up for all that and then some when you hear it!
