Question Delta Propeller Company

Has anyone done business with them? If so would you recommend them?
I already dinged the new prop and want to send it out to get it fixed ASAP.
I found the website and they look very professional.

I got mine fixed locally in Dallas. http://www.jamespropeller.com -- $78 for 4 blade -- I think $71 for a 3 blade. I'm not sure if they do mail-order jobs or not, but they did a good job on mine.

If you are talking about the Delta Propeller in Cleves Ohio(www.propellersonline.com is Delta Propeller), Yes I have done business with them. I have had numerous inboard, outboard, and I/o props fixed by them for about 15 years. They have always done excellent, top notch work. Unfortunately, this year, I needed prop work done. I walked in to their shop with several props that needed fixed. In my haste to get one fixed for my Mastercraft, I let them talk me into a new OJ xmp prop. The prop was awesome! Absolutely the smoothest prop ever! However, after I purchased the prop I went back to the office and looked at their website. The prop was advertised for $20 less than I had just paid in person! When I contacted them, they said tough luck! They made me pay $20 more in person because they knew I was in a hurry (my opinion). Their explaination was that the website had old prices on it and they would be updated shortly. Nonetheless, it ended my 15 years of doing business with them. Also, I recently heard that Delta could not do work on the CNC machined props, they sent them out for service. This is only what I heard, so take it for what it is worth.

Send your prop to Eric at OJ and he will fix it up! His work is awesome, and he ships it back QUICK! www.ojprop.com

It's amazing what $20 will cost businesses sometimes, after 15 years of business.

Tall Andy, if it's a CNC Acme or OJ XMP, call Acme or OJ to find out where to get it done. Acme has a few places they can recommend who will work on a CNC prop. I got my father-in-law's OJ refurbed by OJ and it was great. $85 plus shipping for a 4 blade. You might check with them also as they now have a CNC line.

To me, this forum is about love of inboard boats. It is about the sharing of information and, on a good day, some humor. It is not about post count, brand of boat, or any other superfluous labels that lend themselves to a false sense of superiority. Please, respect one another, try to pass on accurate information, and keep your eye on the ball.
