Good businesses to get into
Getting burned out of the "corporate world" and planning my "exit strategy" I figure I'll do the corporate world a few more years for the experience (and steady pay) but want to start planning my way out. Looking for ideas of good solid businesses, maybe franchises that you have seen be quite succesful in your area. If they have a site please post it as well. Looking for something that doesn't have million dollar startup fees or requires stocking millions in parts/equipment
Thanks!

I know a couple of guys that did very, very well in the mobile windshield chip repair business. How about mobile dent removal?

They got Smoothie King in Indiana? If not (or not many), I recall the franchise costs being low. I was hooked on those things for a long time. Or try Thundercloud Subs (franchise out of Austin).
Face it. In America, we eat. Captialize on it!

And I'm not talking about Subway thats for sure. I personally think that Subway is a big marketing scam. Cheap, nasty nitrite impregnated ingredients piled on a bunch of bread with mostly iceburg lettuce that has virtually no nutritional value anyway. Not to mention the joke of a geek that pushes the crap. Last edited by stevo137; 02-19-2006 at 11:57 AM. |

I believe that it's in the $300,000 or higher range for a Mac's franchise and the business owns you.
Chipotle grill could be a good option and they are owned by Mac's Last edited by stevo137; 02-19-2006 at 12:03 PM. |

My son has a few good ideas for internet websites and has already started one for musicians. He insists that one day one of them will be "huge" and says he wants to be an eccentric CEO someday. What a dreamer, hey I'm not stealing his dream. More power to him, maybe he can retire the old man early some day...
