Wood boats are wonderful until you have to work on them. My father would buy a project boat about every two years. He would manage the project and I would do the unskilled labor (stripping, sanding, cleaning, etc,). As I got older I was promoted to doing all the unskilled labor as well the refinishing. After 10 years of that kind of wood boating experience I like my fiberglass boats just fine thank you.

Beautiful to look at, pain to maintain.

Great looking tow vehicle and boat. Simply clean and classy. Not over the top with numerous colors and decals. WELL DONE!!

Ha....my dad went to the same school as yours......when i was 12, the project boat was a 20 year old Higgins 17 wood inboard ski boat. Pulled the engine, stripped the top+ bottom and re-plugged all the screws in the boat. Endless painting and maintenance.

Wood boats are beautiful and sound great when running............but its best to let someone else own them.

I now appreciate the beauty of fiberglass.
