TT owners: Is that leveling ballast under the observer's seat or a fuel tank? Always thought is was ballast but the wiring almost looks like a fuel sender.

Those 197s with the mini ZF tower are still my favorite looking boats of all time.

JK,

It is a leveling ballast. The sending unit is very similar to the fuel sending unit. The fuel tank is in the rear of the boat.
