That is certainly a neat boat, but wow... There is no comparison between that CC and a similar vintage MC

Agreed!

That boat is actually located pretty close to my house. It would be fun to take it out and feel the difference. But it would make me feel dirty so I'll pass

Apples and Oranges. Those little Ski Tiques are 16' boats that the brochure referred to as the "economic alternative" and were the shortest in the line up that year if I understand correctly. They also had the Mustang and American skier, both 17' boats as well as the Southwind, an 18 foot boat. The SN that year was about 17' 9". Pretty varied lineup for the late 70s.

Still, the slalom wakes of that era of Correct Craft is not necessarily the flattest from what I am told. Nonetheless, I think there's a good market, even today, for a base model, no frills boat. Then again, the used boat market does a pretty good job of filling this need.

To me, this forum is about love of inboard boats. It is about the sharing of information and, on a good day, some humor. It is not about post count, brand of boat, or any other superfluous labels that lend themselves to a false sense of superiority. Please, respect one another, try to pass on accurate information, and keep your eye on the ball.

A friend had one of those back in the day and I though a cool boat, maybe not a MC or SN, but it was a great price point boat. And that 302 would push that little 16 foot hull to about 52 or so.

I also skied behind a Mustang 17, not a bad boat either for the day. Someone still has a Southwind 18 near my dock and leaves. It is starting to look rough as he leaves it in the water all sumer long.
