rear ballast sack--X9
Ii understand from sources(cant divulge,or i would have to kill you all) that the rear ballast sack is now covered on the 2005 and you cant see it...this is a massive improvement on having a floppy sack (ooerr missus) underneath the seat spilling out on to the carpet....the amount of times my kids have slipped over on it.......my dealer has said that he could place it in the rear ski locker, but i would lose space for clutter(skis, kneeboards) also i place 6 five gallon drums in there for extra ballast..........do you think, and this is for ttadmin, that my dealer could retrospectivley fit the cover underneath the seat on my 2004 X9 AND HIDE THE UNSIGHTLY SACK?????

How about just making a cover for underneath the front of the seat cushion? A piece of plastic or fiberglass covered with indoor/outdoor carpet would be an easy job & hide it easily.

Here is what I have been told by the factory (I have not seen this myself).
There are two brackets mounted just aft of the rear speakers, there is a piece (not sure of the material) that slides into these brackets that will hide the bag when not filled and in use. This piece is only designed to make the un-filled bag less visible...not to hide it completely. PLEASE NOTE: the distance from this piece to the back of the seat base is only 10" so you will not be able to conceal the filled sac...you'll have to remove and store the "hideaway" piece.

I am pretty sure that someone on here has already made a retro-fit for there boat regarding this topic.
I could be wrong, but search around alittle you may find it. |

It sounds as if this should easily retrofit onto older X9s.
