I may have the ultimate project starting.........building a new home. Have the get the blue prints finalized, and get some preliminary bids to see if the cost is with in reason

All of the wine is catalouged on the laptop you can see on the floor in one of the pictures. We keep track of each bottle, and its location (Columns by number, rows by letter). The post its were temporary number markers until I made up brass tags to label the rows and colums...which I haven't finished yet

So, does that mean you have to subtract every bottle out of "inventory" when you drink it?

Yessireee. Usually we just write down the maker, year, location on a piece of paper when we pull a bottle since it's too much effort to start up the laptop each time. Then when we get a chance, we update the database. Works pretty well...unless we've been drinkin' too much and forget to write it down, but that rarely happens

I heard, through the grape vine, that Hoosier Bob uses a bar code scanner to keep track of his beer inventory

After our winery fall release roundup next week we should be just over 800, with a total capacity of just over 1,100.

I'm also designing cellars for two other friends of mine, but they're going to be smaller...

:

SWEET!

Actually, I wanted to do that, but some of the wine we buy doesn't have barcodes on them (they never see a retail store, so they don't need 'em)
