Does your boat have name???

All my other boats have had names on the transom, but I notice that the inboards never have a name. As I'm in enough trouble with the SO right now , I don't want to do anything else stupid right now

I've heard that it is bad luck to name a comp boat of any kind (bass, or ski etc...)

I personally don't believe in that mumbo jumbo. My boat's name is "Tucked Away in Carolina". It's after our two dogs: Tucker and Carolina. The name isn't on the transom yet, but it's on the list of projects for the winter.

My old boats name was the "Thank you (ex wife)".... I got the boat in our divorce and she thought she should get more, and tried to reopen the divorce ( god I miss her) to get the boat.. After that I mailed a pic of all my friends holding a beer in front of the boat, with the new name, to her..... I am sure she misses me also......

I have told this story on here before, but I really enjoy it alot.....

First boat (16 ft. outboard) had no name
Second boat (1978 Challenger jet BB chevy) was "Instigator"
Third boat (1988 Ski Eliminator) was "Instigator II"
Fourth boat (1994 Prostar) was "Instigator III" but I never put the name on the boat. I didn't want to remove the Mastercraft off the transom.

Fifth boat (1997 Formula) was "Liquid obsession"
Sixth and present boat (1994 Formula 303SR-1) is "Tenacious"
(Boat is currently for sale)

Next boat will be a 230 Maristar, named "Tenacious 2", but I may not put the name on it. I may, however take "Maristar" off the sides.

Name it.

We had boat names on the old forum.. maybe they should be here?

This is still one of my favorites..

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pristine, well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "-- WOW--What a Ride!"

We have a name for our boat" like...go get the skis out of "The Mastercraft" or go wax and buff "The Mastercraft" or even go oil the teak deck on "The Mastercraft" How about you go outside and grind rust off "The Mastercraft's" trailer...i could go on for days.
