Polar Bear Day

Who normally does the New Years Day ski? What do ya'll do and do you have any rules or traditions? There are only 2 good ways to start off the New Year!

We are going to start a Christmas Day tradition this year with some barefoot runs and maybe a little slalom. Not really polar bear around here but should be fun although a little cold.

A couple crazy guys from the Rock Aqua Jays in Janesville WI usually hold what is called Winter Waterland. These guys and girls that ski in this are freakin' out of their collective minds. It's called off for 2006 but they claim it will be back bigger and better for 2007. Some photos just to give you an idea of what is involved here.

Here's the one I just got and it is awesome. Especially if you are a Barefooter at heart.

Yeah, I just got an email from Ryan and Jeremy. Apparently they were having a more difficult time finding enough sponsors for this year. It's too bad. I was looking forward to attending this year also.
