where to find list of recalls for certain year

i was wondering if there is anywhere a person can find list of recalls for there year boat or if a person can contact mastercraft and check and see if there serial # has any outstanding recalls. the people that owned my boat did not have it serviced by a mastercraft dealer so i am sure if there were ever any recalls to be done they were probably never done.

Your mastercraft dealer should be able to pull it up by the ID# on the hull, and tell you what recall work has been done. And even if they can't, have them call mastercraft and find out.

Internet seach engines are a wonderful thing. In one search and 5 seconds later I found this site. It's amazing the information that is only a few clicks away. While this does not include manufacturer's service recalls, it does help in identifying more serious ones mandated by the feds.

I did a search for MasterCraft on that site. This is what came up.

MASTERCRAFT BOAT COMPANY
Vonore, TN)(950282T)
Year: 1994 - 1995
Models: Maristar 200 VRS
Units: 318
Problem:Chafing of fuel tank may cause
possible fire/explosion if ignition source
MASTERCRAFT BOAT COMPANY
Vonore, TN)(990151T)
Year: 1999
Models: Maristar 205V, ProStar 205 V
Units: 554
Problem:Possible friction between fuel tank
shaft coupler may damage fuel tank; possible
or explosion if ignition source present

I think there's a recall link on mymastercraft.com

To me, this forum is about love of inboard boats. It is about the sharing of information and, on a good day, some humor. It is not about post count, brand of boat, or any other superfluous labels that lend themselves to a false sense of superiority. Please, respect one another, try to pass on accurate information, and keep your eye on the ball.
