Tube Filming
Saw pros doing it in videos so we decided to try it ourselves. I made a housing for my camera out of 4inc PVC and a plexiglass lens. To get the camera in and out i use one of those rubber plugs you use when your putting in a new toilet. We thought there might be some legal issues with someone being infront of someone else but the cop just smiled and waved.
 I'm in the tube "Idontownaboat" is riding Idontownaboat post a pic or two from the camera.

That really is cool, I tried to think of a way for skier or wakeboarder to do this, but think this is the only way. Is the only advantage that you are closer?
Plus your name, Idontownaboat sounds Indian, cool!

One major advantage is you can communicate! I also like to use a .40 Fisheye wideangle lens.(the kind that looks all swirly) you dont get the effect when your zooming through the lens from the boat. We also did the same thing without the tube and had a wakeboarder hold it while i did some stuff on trick skis. That turned out pretty well but i dont have the tape. I'll see if i can get "Idontownaboat" to post a few.
