The last step in my restoration journey ... Maybe

I began restoring my 1989 Prostar 190 3 years ago and now with a ton of help from many people on this board I am proud to say I completed my journey ... At least for now . Here are some pictures of my trailer restoration:

Good work! Very clean look and nice color! Do you have a pic with the boat on it?

Does anyone know what those u-bolts fore and aft of the fenders on either side are for? My '82 has those too and there is no logical place to secure the boat to the trailer with them...
Are they lifting rings for stacking and unloading the trailers (with boats on them?) on and off of the 18-wheeler trailers when they left the factory?
They kinda get in the way. If I ever do a full resto on my trailer like Eljaybee I think I might remove them and fill the holes.

My factory MC cover loops through them.

Thanks Olaff. No pictures with the boat yet. I will take some when I pull the boat next month.

Great Job. My trailer needs some attention. Hope to start this fall.

Speaking of wheels I am looking for the parts necessary to mount a spare tire to the trailer. Anyone have any suggestions on where to look?
