Where's the vin?

I am trying to find the vin number on my 1993 mastercraft single axle trailer.

On mine, it was on a dozen or more small white stickers applied in various places. Look at each frame rail inside, outside, bottom front to back, look under the fenders, etc.

Good luck. I don't understand why they wouldn't just stamp it on a frame rail.

Thanks! Can't seem to find it anywhere. All the stickers are worn and faded. Any other ideas?

When I bought mine, used, the trailer sticker was worn and unreadable, but I had the title which had the VIN on it and Mastercraft sent me a new sticker free of charge. I wonder, if it's the original trailer that came with the boat, maybe Mastercraft has the record of the trailer it left the factory on. It's worth a call.

Have you looked on your title and/or paperwork from DMV registration?

The guy I bought it from had no title for the trailer, said he never had one as he used the trailer to get from his garage to the lake and back every year. (150 feet)

If it's the original trailer with your boat, Mastercraft can tell you the VIN number of the trailer that left with the boat, based on the boat VIN number. They sent me a new sticker with the trailer VIN free of charge.

if you don't have a loan on the boat in most states you don't need a title...

I found VIN stickers under the carpet on the fenders on my 1999 manufacture date trailer. I also found one on the bottom of the main frame rail for the tongue.

Ok, I have the hull ID # from the boat, and I was told it is the same trailer the boat left the factory on. What number can I call MC at to get a vin for the trailer?
