Prop question

My 83 SS with a Chrysler 440 currently has a 3 blade 14x20 prop. It is time for a replacement. Thoughts on which size to get? Anyone else with a similar boat, engine configuration have any advice?

Presumably you have the 1.52:1 powerslot tranny?

Generally speaking, you'll pick up a good bit of performance and keep revs where they need to be by switching to a modern CNC prop with a similar diameter and slightly less pitch than the original hand finished prop. If that 14x20 is the original prop, something in the 14x19 range would probably be ideal. Whether such a prop exists or not is another question altogether!
