skins

rays marina wants 2-3k for skins for an 85 ss. seems like a lot

Sounds high.
I had new ones made and installed in my 82 which has the same layout as an 85 for about $1,200. Check around for local upolestery shops. The shop I got specialized in hot rods and boats.

Yea its gonna be alot cheaper and perhaps better quality if you get them made dunno what the skins they are selling our, but my 88 came w/ the perforated vinyl, and in my opinion it is weaker and harder to keep clean than a nice marine vinyl.
