X25 fuel pump... Help!

Hey TeamTalkers,

Finally got boat rigged and ready for weeklong vacay at lake with out of towners ... And boat dies third pass. Lots of people on here mention picking up a pump at Autozone or the like.. Anyone know which part? I have a 6.2 Ilmor. I think we could hack th repair if we can figure out the pump particulars. Thanks buds..

AutoZone....it's the AIRTEX E2044. Buy 2 of them so you can have a spare. It's the Ethanol in in gas that's eating them. Find a station that truly has "no ethanol" gas.

It's the same pump used in cars/trucks that use ethanol with no problems, right??

I thought the E2065 was the preferred pump because of the pressure or is the the 2044 the new preferred pump?

ThAt not look like the part they replaced
The part they replace was the whole fuel module.
It was a round flange with 12 hex bolts that screwed into the Gas tank top.

See, that's where you went wrong on $600.00 bones!! You can get the pump that was in that $600 canister from Autozone for under $100.00 bucks!!

Fuel pump 101 is your frand!

Both have the same pressure and flow rate +/- 5lbs but since your regulator is what keeps it at 60 psi either will work. I have the 2044 in by boat running a rock solid 60 psi.

Thanks...

Auto Zones in this area carry the 2044 in stock but have to order the 2065.

Good to know info!
