Anyone tow with a Range Rover/RR Sport?

Looking at picking up a 08-11 Rover sport or normal. Probably not the supercharged one to stay lower on insurance. Any experience towing with these? Will be getting a bigger boat than my S&S in the next few years, so it needs to be able to handle at least a gen 2 star.

Although ill still have the F150, towing with the rover will still be a necessity.
Also, any years to stay away from?

Towed a prostar 209 for 1000 miles without problems and I have the TDV6. Better off with the RR Sport than a Cayenne!

I wish we had the US gas price in Europe! Supercharged all the way! But the TDV8 is also an awesome machine, mine is less powerful but does the job!

Yeah if I could afford the insurance on a supercharged one id probably spring for it. unless i can get on my parents plan, its doubtful that would happen though. lol Whats the most common failure on these things? i know their not the most economical and reliable rig, but its always been a dream of mine.

On the early rr sport the front diff was prone to fail because of bad venting which leads to diff oil starvation, but problem was fixed.

Also the sway bar bushings tend to wear fast! Despite that it's a great car!

How often do you go through brake pads with towing?
