Lead ballast and towing?

I was curious if you do anything special when towing your boats with lead ballast? Do you leave the lead in the nose or move it over the axle or haul it in your truck and put it in your boat once you get to the lake? I just bought 400 lbs and wondered how the rest of you tow with the additional weight.

I leave mine(500)pretty much middle of boat, weight spread evenly port to starboard side. Move it(200lbs)into nose once on the water and then back again before loading on trailer.
