I'm a GM guy, through and through. But 86k for a Camaro is insane. Love the car, but hard to justify that sticker price for it.

I agree completely. I'm just thinking that there are a heck of a lot of great used high end sports cars that you could get into for less than the Z28.

Your key word is "used", can't get a new or used track gt-r for any where near this price, much less any 911 gt whatever Porsche. The corvette has less hp @ 455 the z/28 has 505hp. This is a new factory track car with a warranty, not somebody's used car that's already beat.

Is the z/28 really faster than a C7 around a track? If so please post #'s (not being cocky, just wondering). I also highly doubt the average Joe can push a z28 harder than a C7 around a track.

I think these cars however might be an investment if you hang onto them and keep the miles low.

Ill be picking a ZL1 someday maybe. Drop top and hear that supercharger whine and the motor rumble.

You mean someone else has taken the depreciation hit already? That's fine with me. Plus, there are lots of used vehicles out there (even the GT-R you mentioned with -4k on them) that have plenty of factory warranty left of them.

I read that too somewhere (Road/Track, Car/Driver, I've spent a lot of time recently in the dentist's office) and was shocked. However, it sounds like they built it with more of a track-oriented performance than just straight-line accel. Either way, that red w/black Z28 looks sweet. And I'm a Shelby guy.

I wouldn't say it beats up on the c7 with ease. The Z may have more power, but it's sill 500lbs heavier and doesn't have the same weight distribution. I'm guessing the biggest difference would be the brakes. The c7 would start to fade after a few laps, then the Z would take over.

What blows my mind is that the Z doesn't come with AC.

By the way, the Lambo is awesome!

warranty does work until mods are made to the car, we have done several GT-R transmissions under warranty that were blown at the track, no mods to the cars.
