How to sell my Mastercraft

Hello everyone. I am the one owner of a 1995 Prostar 205 with 900hrs
It was recently repainted and reupholstered, engine tuned.
I haven't bought or sold a boat for over 10 years.
Thinking of asking $14,000.
First of all is anyone out there in Mastercraft world interested ?
but secondly, where do you guys feel is the best place to advertise/sell a ski boat?
Thanks

Planetnautique.com has a classifieds section. You might try there.

Otherwise look at this site for a second and you will see the boats for sale sections of the classifieds. Try posting there. Craigslist is pretty standard now as well as onlyinboards.com good luck with the sale.

Painted? what parts were painted and with kind of materials? is the second picture show the boat beached?

900 hours may pull your prices down a bit - but the 205 is a sought after boat.

www.onlyinboards.com is a good place as well as craigslist, ebay.

14k not a bad price this time of year for this boat and this motor. pictures of motor and trailer? has trailer been service regularly? brakes work? new bearings... etc...

You want to be clear on the painted part. Did you really paint the hull? If so don't expect $14K from anyone that knows about MasterCrafts. You're at the top of your price range for this time of year and a unmolested boat. Doing automotive paint on a MasterCraft will pull that value down by at least a grand and will limit your target sales group to those who don't know their boats. That alone would be a red flag for me and anyone I was advising a purchase on.

Boat looks good in the pictures. Hopefully that's gel coat we're looking at. If that is a picture of the boat beached, I lose that too.

Trailer had new bearings once, I keep them greased. breaks do work.
boat has a keel guard but seldom is beached, we did briefly that day when taking pictures. It sets on a Sunstream lift all summer under a cover.
Could get you engine and trailer pics if you're interested.

I'm a big fan of ski-it-again.com. I used ski-it-again, onlyinboards and craigslist to sell my 92 last year and had significantly more hits on ski-it-again and craigslist than onlyinboards.

I sold mine through this forum. I had some lookers find it through CL, and some through Only Inboards. Ski it again didn't get me any lookers.

Sold my last boat through Onlyinboards. Had 3 people flake on showing up with checks from craigslist but did get lots of tire kickers that way.
