Pro star 209 6.5 speakers

I have the stock speaks in my 209. Wondering what everybody is using for replacements?? The space in the back is limited to change the size and you also have the separate tweeter, so finding a replacement has been a little bit of a chore. I am going to putting a whole new stereo in my boat and want to find some quality speakers. Any help would be appreciated.

I can't say I really have one? I already have the sub and amps. Just need speakers and a deck. I wouldn't really want to spend more than 300 a pair I guess

The components seem to be hard to find these days. I would leave the old tweeters in the stock spaces, or put leds in their place and grab some Wetsounds XS650s or JL M650s

Not going to be real helpful but I ran Thunder Marine TM6502-B 6.5" 2-Way speakers and when I recovered my vinyl just voided the tweeter hole. What I would do if I wasn't would get a pair of white wetsounds or mtx and just leave the tweeter as is inoperable. Warning: The rear speakers by the floor have a small hole. My MTX speakers would not fit and the hole had to be trimmed along with the speaker. Assume this would be a problem for alot of speakers. It wasn't alot of trimming but did require a dremel into fiberglass. If that scares you make sure you verify the sizes. Also you can never go wrong with the polk db651's. They are cheap on amazon and sound imho best bang for the buck wise.
