We bought that travel trailer so we've been staying at Wind Creek, a lot! Which is why we've not been on Harding much this season! Head on up if you get time and if you guys need a flop house we have a bit of room.

We rented a house up there a couple of times with some friends which was really fun... I love that lake! I don't know if we'll get up there for the 4th this year, family friends will be at my parents. And a free babysitter on Harding keeps us there too!!

Right on. I'm sure we'll see you out there before the season is over!

Spent 2 weeks out at Martin camping and boating.

If you've never been to the fireworks display on Martin and live near it, do yourself a favor and go. Seeing the armada of boats that go is just insane.

This was the first year in 23 years that I was not at Lake Martin for the 4th. CantRepeat you passed right by my parents house if you drove from Wind Creek all the way to Kowliga for the fireworks.

And yes the number of boats on the water at night is impressive.

Yeah, going down was pretty rough, even for a 23' boat. Coming back wasn't so bad. We anchored by the power lines. After the fireworks show we just went and hid out at Chimney Rock for 30 minutes or so. Figured we let everyone else run home and then cruised back. It worked out pretty well. It was only my second time navigating Martin at night. It was a no drinking kind of day in order to make a safe return.

It was a fantastic 2 weeks spent with my girls.

Wish we could have made it up there for a day... Sorry we missed you guys. Next year when the little one is a little older we'll be able to make that trip again.

Navigating Martin is no joke! I've never done it at night!
