My point is he knew when he needed to be a jerk and let someone have it. I actually have a lot of respect for him. I liked him a lot. I have a Lombardi plaque in my office as well entitled "What it takes to be No. 1".

I don't subscribe to much handholding and stroking.

Thanks Steve, I'm glad I asked instead of reacting. I knew it did not sound like you. I've read enough of your post(which I really enjoy) to realize that is not your nature. If you had said he was egotistical I could have totally agreed. Perhaps a "little Caesar" with a bad hairpiece as well. Our relation ship started when KC won the Superbowl here. I ran into him at the hotel latter and introduced my self as a fraternity brother. He invited my wife and I along with the couple with us to the Superbowl victory party and escorted in and introduced around. What a blast. We both lived on the north shore and would get together occasionally. After his induction into the hall of fame he brought me some of his football cards for my grand kids.
