Sad to see so much hatred for Timmy (yes I am a buckeyes fan too). I mean seriously, maybe he is not the greatest QB, but what he does do well is lead a team. I can't think of a better guy to have on your team as a leader than Tebow right now. Maybe he is a little over board with the whole God thing, but at least we know where he stands. Now, why not make this guy a tightend or even a back of some sort?
My question is this... who is worse... Tebow or M Vick? |

In HS and College we are not trying to ruin someones Multimillion dollar career. One hit like Joe T took and your done.... same with Aikman and Young.... List goes on. When you are looking to go out and take someone out of the game that's just a bad plan to have. BTW it wasn't just $1,500. A quote last night was "Hey Payton, put me down for $5,000".

They might as well just go ahead and outlaw all hitting and put flags in the back of everyone's pants. Jeez...

I do think the whole... "don't hit them so hard" is getting a little out of control. Just don't think they should be trying to end the career,

Season ending injuries are unfortunate BUT they happen all the time with legitimate hits. These guys are trained to give it 100% on every play and 100% can result in someone getting hurt or knocked out of the game or knocked out of their career. There are known risks of serious career ending and life threatening injuries associated with playing in the NFL - it is part of the game that people pay billions of dollars to watch and be part of. I am not advocating illegal hits but it is up to the the NFL to decide what is excessive (and season/career ending) and what penalties (suspension, fines, etc.) should result when such illegal hits occur. By the way, most of these "big hits" that resulted in bonus payments did not result in penalties. |

Peyton Manning (obviously) Andy Dalton Drew Brees tom brady (yes, I just threw up in my mouth) Philip Rivers Carson Palmer Aaron Rodgers Matt Ryan Each of these guys are better leaders than teabag, and those are just QB's.

I don't think these players and coaches were out to intentionally end anyone's career, or to seriously injure anyone. The players were just asked to hit hard, which is expected of them. Nothing evidences a hard hit more than the "victim" having to walk off the field in a daze afterwards.
