Can you post the photo that you sent to them?

Strange that you'd have a MEFI5 06 unless it was a very late build in 06. I'm not saying it's not possible because my 06 has an 05 dated motor. When I called Indmar about ECU CAL file I had to provide them the serial number for the motor. It was built in 05 but installed in my boat in early 06. So I assume it's possible some later 06 models could have later build motors with a MEFI 5 and CAN network.

Hoestly I am not sure what I have. I have been wotking on an over heat; thread "Temp Sender". MikeG suggested that I get the ECU codes pulled down which is why I contacted MIchigan Motorz. I have been looking for a # to contaqct Indmar so that I can figure out what kind of ECU I do have. These are the pics of the ECU.

lz35zs - you definitely have the MEFI 5... the base motor and the MCX for 2006 came with MEFI 5, but the bigger motors (Cadillac and L-18) came with MEFI 4.

CantRepeat - what motor do you have?

MEFI 5 Scan

This is a trimmed-down version of our MEFI 5 Scan & TuneTM system for the user that just wants to do scanning / monitoring, data logging, and malfunction trouble code viewing. If you decide later that you want the ability to do tuning as well, you can upgrade to our MEFI 5 Scan and TuneTM packages for just the difference in price between the MEFI 5 Scan and the other package. You have nothing to lose by trying MEFI 5 Scan first.

The MEFI 5 Scan kit includes:
A MEFI 5 Scan Electronics Interface
A 6-foot USB Cable to connect the Electronics unit with your laptop or PC
A 10-foot Vehicle Interface Cable the goes between the electronics box and the vehicle. Two types are currently available: one with a flat 6-pin marine OBD connector and the other with a 16-pin OBD2 style connector
A CD with the MEFI 5 Scan software
